It's terrible out there. It's been snowing all day. I can't believe how much snow we've gotten. That is just amazing. At least I don't have anywhere to go but church and home tonight. That's good. I'm still sleepy.

Hello! We need a picture. These are the trees outside the apartment on an early winter snowstorm. We went six weeks without snow. It was weird. It's snowy now and everything feels right. I like winter...as long as it's not actively snowing. I love it when it's cold and everything slows down. Nothing's prettier than snow sparkling in the sun. More on Andrew Peterson... I haven't left the house very much today. I've just taken 2.000 steps. Of course, I've only been awake for nine hours! I did go to church to drop off a DVD. It's been a long time. I say all that to say that I've been home a whole bunch today and listening to great music. The Far Country is such an amazing CD. I looked it up on Andrew's web site and found this wonderful stuff: Meister Eckhart wrote, "God is at home. We are in the far country." Peterson read the quote in a book by Annie Dillard a few years ago and scribbled it in his journal. "It expressed so simply th

Hello! I don't feel very well, so I don't want to write too much. I'm dizzy and cranky. It feels like a low-grade migraine. Oh well...I will live. Well, we have a new contest going at work. We're split into two teams. We each have pedometers....and the team that has the most steps will win. It's for 90 days. So far, I have gone just over 4000 steps. That includes a trip to Target. I need to find a place to walk that isn't the mall...maybe I could go to Wal-mart without my wallet! Here's what the new pedometer looks like:

How sad...so much for being good and posting every day. What did I do this weekend? On Friday, I met Kerry, Ron, Turner, and Caelyn for dinner...I think I mentioned this. What a lovely night! Saturday, I did some grocery shopping...then I headed out to Fenwick to spend some time with Katie, Ryan, Ava, and Isaac. That was so much fun! We had the best dinner...for some reason...it was venison chili. Ryan doesn't like chili and Katie & I don't like venison...but yet it turned out so tasty. I brought some corn bread and salad and that was wonderful. We all finished off the Boston Cream pie too. Ava just loved it. And I was worried that the kids wouldn't like it. Isaac was pleasant. He hasn't really liked me in the past, but he was a lot sweeter and happier. He even smiled at me several times. He especially liked it when I gave him some pancakes. Ava had a blast of a time watching her Disney sign alongs. I had forgotten how cute Chip & Dale were. After the kiddies we

Well, it's Friday night. I had a lovely dinner with the Williamses. They're so sweet and such good friends. Baby Caelyn is so sweet and so happy. Turner is really growing up. He was able to say my name with no trouble! It was a fun dinner!

Well, I'm out of steam. My hands are sore and my brain is tired. That happens. I'm really annoyed that I lost a bit of the article that I was working on yesterday. That is not the most annoying problem that I've had lately. It was a big kitchen diaster. I was pulling the crock pot out of the fridge...the lid fell off and hit the bottom glass shelf. The lid did not break. The bottom glass shelf did. ARGH! It broke into a zillion little pieces. It took a long time to get this done. What a disaster.

The red one was knitted by my Mom and I made the fleece one. I know they don't match....They really don't match my bedspread, but Charlie likes it.

...and I'm worn out. Tuesdays are harder than Mondays for some reason. They just always are. It's been a really slow day, but I have finished a lot. I did a lot of work on our CD collection and have finished up two itineraries. Exciting. I don't have too much to say. Have I posted pictures lately? I should post another one! It's Mr. Murphy! He does the cutest thing, which would be annoying if I lived with him. He likes to be escorted up the stairs. He will get a person and demand that they go upstairs with them. He stops along the way...just purring and asking for attention. At the top, he gets a little bit of food put in his dish. He's only allowed a cup of diet food a day...though it looks like he eats way more!

Well..today was quite a day. It tured out that the car needed a new alternator. I wasn't able to get to the dealer until 10. Before I left, the main. man came to fix the light in the front hallway and the dimmer switch in the dining room. Then, I spent four hours at the dealer! I watched the Rachel Ray Show, Martha Stewart's show, the news, and Days of Our Lives. Who hoo...that was so thrilling. But the car is much better now. Boy I am sick of my car. It sure has been expensive lately. Then I went to work and I had the most wonderful bouquet of yellow roses waiting for me. I'll post the picture later. My parents sent me a bouquet. It smells so great and it is so pretty. What a nice treat. Then I came home, had some dinner, and headed out to two Walgreen's. I sure got some bargains. His mom Tina was in the front seat, and I was in the back entertaining him with the camera. Waahhh! I don't want to be at work this day. I am tired and wanted to stay in bed. But alas, I have a job to do!

Well, I'm keeping up my resoultion to make a blog post each day. I don't want to get too deep or too spirtual, but I want to keep a little log of what I'm doing. Right now, I am eating some Chex and watching a bit of Top Gun. Exciting. Man this is a gay movie. Anyway, this morning I got early and went to church. It was my first Sunday running the computer. That went quite well. We had two DVDs and an Itunes video. Amazing!!! I handled it just fine though. It was a great service. We talked about God being our refuge. Many times we don't even see how he protects us. Also, he works out things for our good (defintion of God's best? Being like Jesus). Well...I need to leave again soon. Oh...Tom Cruise just told Val Kilmer that he's dangerous.

...Another post. Let's see, I am continuing my daily posts even though I am quite boring. Last night, I watched TV, cooked dinner, played a game on the computer, and picked up the living room. Who hoo! Dinner was BBQ brisket from the crock pot and some potatoes. Not too bad. I watched NBC all night. I'm really glad that the 2-hour comedy act is back. I just loved Scrubs. Well, actually, I watched four of them, but only one was new. 30 Rock is really growing on me. Work has been quite and good today. I worked on an article about the Shedd Aquarium. Now I am writing about the North Carolina Aquariums. I'm not sure how I'm feeling. I don't want to write about such things now.

Hello. It's time for my daily post. I don't have much to say again. It's 50 degrees and sunny still. Amazing! Last night was relaxing. I was able to get home from work right away. I changed into my comfy clothes and made dinner. Then I went to Horrock's Market. It was nice to shop. The store was not crowded at all. ... in fact I kept worrying that it was closing. But I still had a hour before it closed. I have lots of fresh food and choices now. Tonight, I want to clean out the kitchen and get it ready to go. Lost starts in 36 days!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait.

Okay...I am going to try to write at least one post a day... Today I'm getting back to work. I worked really hard at updating the Intern Handbook. It was a lot of work, but I'm really happy with the results. It gets updated once a year...and this year is much better looking and more organized. It's sunny today and 48 degrees ... and it's January. Amazing! We've gone a month without any measurable snow. That is a miracle. The grass is still green. Hm...What else can I say? Not sure. So I'm not saying much else.
